The rise of emerging economies, such as Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, is changing the structure of global trade, and therefore reinterprets the view of global supply chain management. As regional economic powerhouses with large populations, resource bases and markets, they play important roles in every segment of global supply chain. In their efforts to ensure sustainable development, emerging markets still face big challenges that come from fundamental problems associated with their traditional economic and political systems. This conference provides an efficient platform for scholars, companies and governments in both emerging economies and developed countries to investigate, discuss and understand the opportunities and challenges of global supply chain management.
It is our great pleasure to invite authors to submit papers to the 7th Global Supply Chain Management (GSCM) conference to be held from March 27th to 29th, 2015 in Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. Established in 2007, this series of conference has been held in Detroit (USA), Toledo (USA), Coimbatore (India), Madrid (Spain), Busan (South Korea) and Tokyo (Japan). This year's conference will focus on the opportunities and challenges in global supply chain management and related areas, with special emphasis on emerging economies.
